An AI chatbot for furniture stores that behaves like a salesperson, not a support widget
Most chatbots are built to deflect support tickets — but a furniture shopper isn't a ticket, they're a high-ticket customer mid-decision on a $2,000–$10,000 purchase.
ShowroomOps installs an AI sales concierge trained on your actual catalog, policies, and floor inventory. It searches products, shows cards with real prices and availability, answers delivery and financing questions precisely, and invites serious shoppers into your showroom. We call it a concierge because 'chatbot' undersells what it does — but if you searched for a chatbot, this is the version built for furniture.

Why generic chatbots fail in furniture retail
We ran a furniture store before we built software, so we've seen every off-the-shelf chat tool fall over the same four ways.
They can't search your catalog
A shopper asks for 'a leather recliner under $1,500 that fits a 7-foot wall' and the bot returns a canned FAQ about store hours. If chat can't find products, it can't sell products.
They answer policy questions vaguely — or wrongly
Delivery windows, white-glove vs. front-door, return rules on custom orders, financing terms. These are the questions that stall high-ticket purchases, and a wrong answer is worse than none.
They make things up
Generic AI bots fabricate dimensions, availability, and delivery dates when they don't know. In a business built on trust and $5,000 tickets, one confident wrong answer costs you the sale and the referral.
They ignore your showroom
Most chat tools are pure-ecommerce thinking. In furniture, the majority of high-ticket sales still close on the floor — a chatbot that never says 'come sit on it' is leaving your best close rate unused.
What we install
What ShowroomOps installs instead
A managed concierge system — implemented from your real catalog and policy data, then operated and tuned weekly.
Catalog-trained product search
The concierge searches your live catalog by size, material, price, and room — and answers with product cards: image, title, price with sale strikethrough, availability, and a link to the product.
Policy answers with guardrails
Delivery, returns, financing, lead times, and custom-order rules ingested from your actual policies. When the concierge isn't sure, it says so and routes to a person — it never invents an answer.
Showroom and human routing
Every conversation carries a path to the floor: check if it's on display, book a design appointment, or hand off to the right teammate — sales, support, or the owner for the big ones.
Assisted-revenue reporting
Conversations joined to orders and POS where possible, so you see matched revenue, product-card clicks, and showroom leads — not chat-volume vanity metrics.

First implementation
Built and proven inside a real furniture store
Before we sold this to anyone, we ran it on our own floor. The chatbot category is full of screenshots and demo videos; here's what happened in a real furniture store instead.
ShowroomOps was built inside our own high-end furniture store — one large destination showroom, a deep new-and-consignment catalog, and a sales floor that closes most of the revenue. Live catalog, real policies, real customers. We share the store's identity and full detail privately, on the teardown call.
- outsold in one, at pace
- 5 yrs
- 2026 store revenue is pacing past the previous five years of sales combined.
- June revenue, year over year
- 4.05×
- $628K in June 2026, with July projected near $765K.
- chat-assisted revenue in 14 days
- $27.5K
- Orders matched to concierge conversations after auto-answer went live — chat volume roughly doubled, and matched revenue ran at a ~$60K/month pace.
How we count: We report the store's numbers as the store's numbers and assisted revenue as matched orders — never claimed lift from any single tool. The growth came from the whole operating stack working together: buying, marketing, catalog, concierge, and measurement. We'd rather under-claim and show you the methodology.

How retailers work with us
There are two ways to run this: Custom — we build the concierge from your data, launch it, and manage it, from $75K setup plus $15K/month — or Self-Setup, our $25,000 one-time system (plus a monthly software fee) that hands your team the same build we run in our own store. Either way, it's not a $99 widget you rent and configure. Full pricing detail here.
Custom
Done for youfrom $75K setup
+ $15K/month
We build and run the whole operating stack for you — scoped per engagement, scaling up for multi-location and multi-brand operators.

+ $500/month software
The same system we run in our own store, handed to your team to implement in logical order with our complete self-setup guide.
The 90-day launch guarantee
“If we do not launch your concierge, ingest your catalog and policies, train it on your top questions, and generate the agreed qualified sales conversations or showroom/design leads within 90 days, we work free until we do, up to two additional months.”
This is an implementation guarantee, not a revenue guarantee — nobody can honestly guarantee revenue in a seasonal, omnichannel business. What we can guarantee is that the system gets built, launched, and producing the agreed conversations and leads, or you stop paying the retainer while we finish the job.
The launch guarantee applies to Custom, done-for-you engagements. The Self-Setup System is a one-time purchase your team implements with the guide.
Questions
Frequently asked
Is this just another chatbot?
It sits in the same corner of the screen, but the resemblance ends there. Generic chatbots run scripts and deflect questions. ShowroomOps is trained on your catalog and policies, searches products in real time, shows product cards with live prices and availability, and routes serious shoppers to your showroom or your staff. We'll build and run it for you, or hand your team the $25K self-setup system to run it themselves — either way it's the real concierge, not a $99 widget from an app store.
Will it make things up like other AI bots?
It's built not to. The concierge answers only from your ingested catalog and policy data. When it doesn't know — a discontinued fabric, an unusual delivery scenario — it says it doesn't know and hands the conversation to a person. In furniture, an honest 'let me connect you with our team' beats a fabricated dimension every time.
Do chatbots even work for furniture stores?
Support-style chatbots mostly don't — furniture questions are about products, fit, and delivery, not order status. A product-search-first concierge is different. In our first implementation, customer chat volume roughly doubled after auto-answer went live, and chat-assisted revenue matched to real orders reached $27.5K in the first 14 days.
How long does implementation take?
Typically 30–90 days from kickoff to launch, depending on catalog size and how much policy material we need to structure. That covers catalog ingestion, policy training, showroom routing setup, staff console onboarding, and testing against your top real questions before it faces customers.
What platforms does it work with?
Shopify is the most common install, and we support other ecommerce platforms with a usable product feed. The concierge installs without rebuilding your theme, and we handle the technical work as part of implementation.
See what a real concierge would do on your site
We'll go through your website like a demanding furniture shopper — search, product pages, delivery questions — and show you exactly where a support-grade chatbot would lose the sale and a sales-grade concierge would win it.
The teardown is free and delivered live on a 30-minute call by the operator who built the system. We onboard a small number of retailers at a time — each system is built from real catalog and policy data.
